About the firm

An independent fiduciary, by design.

Fortuna Private Wealth was built around a simple premise: families of means deserve advice that is undivided, transparent, and durable across generations. We are not affiliated with any broker-dealer, insurance company, or product manufacturer.

Our philosophy

The wealth-management industry has spent decades blurring the line between advice and sales. We exist on the advice side of that line. Our recommendations are not influenced by commissions, revenue-sharing arrangements, or proprietary product quotas — because none exist in our firm.

What we do believe in: long horizons, low frictions, deliberate tax-aware portfolio construction, and decisions that hold up when markets do not. Discipline is not a slogan; it is the operating system of a serious wealth program.

How we are paid

Fortuna is compensated solely through advisory fees disclosed in writing in our Form ADV and in the Investment Advisory Agreement signed with each client. We do not accept commissions, soft dollars, referral payments, or third-party compensation for the products or managers we recommend.

Fees are typically charged as a percentage of assets under management and may be tiered for larger relationships. Fixed and project-based engagements are available for planning work. Specific fee schedules appear in Item 5 of our Form ADV Part 2A.

Our standard of care

As a registered investment adviser, Fortuna owes its clients a fiduciary duty under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. That means a duty of care and a duty of loyalty — including the obligation to act in each client’s best interest, to provide advice that is suitable to the client’s objectives, to seek best execution, and to disclose any material conflicts of interest.
